That’s a Wrap
If you’ve been living under a rock lately, you may have missed the vintage anatomy textbook image fad. For me, it all started with a local Park Slope store called Cog & Pearl. The store sells gorgeous glass trays and platters much like this one by artist John Derian. Since few of us have thousands to lavish on these very talented artists, I propose another solution. Kate’s Paperie and a local Park Slope store, Scaredy Kat, have many of these images in the form of Cavallini sheeted gift wrap, which are perfect for wall art and highly affordable. I bought the Picture of Good Health piece (photo above) long ago and finally started adding to my collection. I am especially proud of the Garden print, as it has been out of stock both online and in many of the Kate’s Paperie locations. I finally tracked it down at their tiny store on 13th street.
